Saunas, Sisters and Super Soft Skin

For Christmas, me and my sister Imogen were a bit stuck for ideas on what to buy each other. So instead of buying a gift just for the sake of it, we decided that it would be best if we could do something together, like a fun day out. So we opted for a Spa day, as I went for my birthday last year and absolutely loved it. My sister had never been to one before, so we felt this would be perfect. When we booked it up in December, it felt like May was sooo far away! We booked it for this time of year, as Imy had given birth to her little boy Ellis in March, (BTW I’m loving being an Aunty/Godmother!) So I’d definitely say that a day of pampering was well deserved.
Yesterday we went along to Wyboston Lakes, which is the Spa I went to before. What more could you want, then floating around in a dressing gown and slippers for the whole day, with no makeup on, as well as having a bed- time bun hairdo? It’s just my idea of total heaven. Drifting from the salt sauna to the steam sauna, and then to the Jacuzzi. Apart from being at home, I’m not sure of any other place where you can stroll down to lunch in your dressing gown and slippers aha. Just a comfy day all in all!
Now I have always been one for a power nap, so the best room for me was ‘The Big Sleep’ room. It literally does what it says on tin. That’s right. It’s a little bedroom with dim lighting and a fire burning, where you can curl up into bed and have a little sleep! Me and Imy were absolutely loving it. However, the only downfall was getting myself out of bed afterwards- like most naps to be fair.
So at about 5:30 it was time to go home. We were super relaxed, our skin was silky soft and our toes and fingers resembled prunes from excessive use of the Jacuzzi. We had caught up on every bit of gossip and every story to be told, and just generally enjoyed having sister-time.
We’re already planning our next one! The website of the spa we went to is linked below:
