Travelling back from holiday, I had no intention of buying anything whatsoever… However, we had a few spare moments at the airport, and I accidentally found myself browsing the perfume department. While I was having a look, I remembered that I had my eye on this YLS Black Opium for a while, as I had seen the bottle before but never had the chance to smell it. So I took a stroll over there and had a little spray. To cut a long story short, I loved the bottle, it smelled amazing and it was a bit of a bargain. So I basically just had to have it. I think this is definitely a scent for going out in the evening as opposed to a daytime scent. Before I sprayed this, I had a feeling that it was going to be really strong and overpowering, but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s hard to describe but it smells ridiculously good, and this is it’s description:
Top Notes: Black Coffee, Heart Notes: White Florals, Base Notes: Vanilla.
We then got on the plane and the inflight sales suckered me in, so I ended up buying Marc Jacobs Eau So Fresh Sorbet. I have a few of Marc Jacobs perfumes, such as Lola, Oh! Lola, Honey and Daisy which are all just gorgeous, so I was rather excited to add to the collection. (And this one is Limited Edition) I couldn’t say no! Like all of the other Marc Jacobs scents, this one is really light and Summery to wear in the daytime. As I’m sure you can tell, judging by the bottle decoration- it’s really girly and floral. The signature flowers on the bottle never get old for me, I just love them. Here is it’s description:
Top notes: Juicy Mandarin, Apple Blossom, Lotus Flower. Heart notes: Magnolia, Jasmine, Wet Violet. Base notes: Soft, Creamy Woods, Musk
My YSL Black Opium EDP 50ml was 75 Euros, which at the moment is about £53. I can’t find one that cheap online but here is a link to have a look:
The Marc Jacobs Eau So Fresh Sorbet is 75ml and cost me £42.
