I think it’s safe to say that NYX is definitely becoming one of my favourite make up brands. NYX products are so affordable and I love the quality of the products as well as the way they look. I usually get mine from Boots.com, as I find this the easiest way.
This time I only wanted some more setting spray, as my one is running low. That is the ONLY reason I went online, and I ended up with a few more items… But then I thought I’m paying for postage and packaging, so I might as well make it worth while.
NYX Honey Dew Me Up Primer
I decided to buy a new primer as I currently use the KIKO cosmetics one which I really like, but fancied a change. Then this little one caught my eye. I do feel as though this primer is a little bit more on the expensive side for NYX, but at the same time, when I saw it online it made me wonder why it was that little bit more expensive. It’s so pretty and there are small glittery bits in there as well, and the bottle seems to just glow! What I didn’t realise when I tried this out, is that it doesn’t have a nozzle or a pump; it has a little spatula. I was also under the impression that this was going to be really sticky and hard to rub in. However, when I first applied this to my face I can only describe it as a fresh feeling! It was so nice to feel on my skin and my foundation just glided straight over it.
For some reason my skin has been feeling slightly dry and dull lately (potentially due to an awful amount of unhealthy food and lack of sleep) and I do actually think this helped me achieve a nice glow to my skin again.
NYX Studio Finishing Powder- Translucent Finish
This is perfect for setting my make up, it has a nice light feeling and gives off a luminous finish! Does what it says on the tin!!
As soon as I saw this I just had to have it. I know it sounds like the story of my life but just look at how pretty it is! I also noticed lookwise this reminds me of the Too Faced Pink Leopard Print Bronzer, which I think is £25 on the Debenhams website.
You can never have too many nude lipsticks! These colours look quite similar, but when I swatched them it really showed the difference.
NYX High Voltage Lipstick- Flutter Kisses
The High Voltage is the darker swatch on my hand, and as you can see it gives off a beautiful darker rosy nude colour, and was really creamy in texture. This product is really pigmented and bold, and also gives a lot of moisture to my lips which is always good! There are so many different colour choices for this product, it’s hard to choose!
NYX Matte Lipstick- Spirit
This is more of a peachy nude and is also really creamy when I apply it. I wouldn’t say this lasts as long as the High Voltage, but all the same it still gives off a pigmented colour, and I don’t feel as though this dries my lips out as much as some other matte lipsticks do.
