I can’t tell you how long I have been lusting over this. I first tried this out over a year ago in store, and since then it’s been on my list! When I opened this on birthday, my heart swelled and I got all excited. I was also a bit overwelmed when I realised I had the 100ml bottle.
I personally feel as though Marc Jacobs never gets it wrong with the presentation and packaging of fragrances. The bottles are usually beautifully decorated with flowers and girly designs. The Marc Jacobs perfumes I have so far such as Lola, Oh! Lola, Honey and of course Daisy- have always been quite fun and young looking, which I absolutely love! So when I first saw Decadence, this seemed much more of an adult, sophisticated and classy design- which intrigued me, but I love this maybe a little bit more than the others! The bag shaped bottle, compliments the scent of it just perfectly. For me, this is definitely an evening smell. Instead of me trying to explain the scent, I had a look on the Marc Jacobs website itself to see the description, which sums it up in a nut shell.
‘Marc Jacobs Decadence is a sensual, luxurious, woody fragrance, embodying the spirit of irreverent glamour.
The fragrance opens with sultry top notes of Italian plum, iris flower, and saffron. The heart opens with luxurious notes of Bulgarian rose, jasmine sambac, and orris. The indulgent dry down reveals the base notes of vetiver, papyrus woods, and liquid amber.’
Sometimes I feel as though some brands focus so much on the packaging and appearance, that they end up lacking the quality of the product itself. However this is not the case whatsoever for this perfume- the packaging only gives you a taste of what you are about to smell, which is amazing.
If you haven’t already, you need to smell this. And if you fancy a bit of a splurge (this is verrrry pricy) then it’s definitely worth the investment! Or maybe it’s one for the Christmas list?
I actually think this is one of the most luxurious looking perfume bottles I own.. I haven’t put it away yet, it’s just too pretty to be hidden!
