Yesterday was the first day in a while that both Tom and I had the day off together, due to working and lots of other plans etc. So we decided to get into the festive spirits, and we first went to Bicester village as neither of us had been before. None of us were after anything in particular, we just wanted to see what it was like there, and see what the fuss is about! The place itself was so lovely and Christmassy, and it was nice to walk around together although it was absolutely freezing outside.
We then stopped off for lunch at a nearby place called the Akeman Inn. We pulled up and the outside looked so cute and Christmassy, and inside was really warm, welcoming and cosy. The food was soooo good! I would definitely recommend this place if people are in the area.
We then made our way to Waddesdon Manor, which was only a few minutes from the restaurant. They had a Christmas market there which was just beautiful. When you arrive, you park your car up in the car park and then make your way to the shuttle bus, which then takes you to the Manor. You can walk it along the trail if you wish, but it was absolutely freezing so we decided to get the shuttle.
Despite the usual business that you get every where you go around this time of year, we had a lovely time walking around the stalls, which really got us into the festive spirit.
