It’s been a while!
So this was actually a while back, but I thought it’s never too late to share a great weekend with you!
Myself and Tom were celebrating 5 years of being together, so we decided to spend the weekend in London. We got into London for midday-ish as we had booked a table at the Coppa Club by Tower Bridge. I found this place online and fell in love with the idea of the igloos. I tried to book an igloo but they were fully booked months and months in advance which was soo annoying. However I loved the inside and the food looked good so I thought I would book it anyway 😀
We arrived and were greeted by a member of staff. I could see an empty igloo when I glanced outside but assumed it was reserved or something- but asked the guy anyway just in case there was a chance we could be seated in one.. And to our surprise he was like ‘yeah of course no problems come with me..’ and led us into the igloo! Apparently they save 2 igloos for walk ins but they’re usually full straight away so we were so lucky. It was amazing! What better way to enjoy a glass of prosecco than looking out of a glass igloo onto London? I was in my element. We had some lunch and the food was lovely but my surroundings were far more exciting.
We had quite an early dinner planned so we then headed off and went back to the hotel to chill for a bit and then get ready.
Our hotel was in Maida Vale, so we got a taxi from there to the Ritz. 🙂
The Ritz. What an experience. It’s such a beautiful place where we found ourselves just gazing around the room once we were seated. It was pure luxury. The food was delicious and we were actually completely stuffed. (Most of the time with this kind of restaurant the portions are slightly tight so you end up wanted a Maccy D’s after) and the service was next to none. We were so impressed and couldn’t have had a better dining experience to celebrate our anniversary.
As if we hadn’t had an amazing day already, we then headed off to the Albert Hall where we went to see Cirque Du Soleil.
UNREAL!!! I think I had my mouth open in awe the whole time. It was definitely a must see show if you ever get the chance. I couldn’t believe my eyes at these talented people!
The next morning we stopped off for some breakfast at a cute little place called Alice, where we had a tasty fry up and then headed home!
